This idea was first proposed to me a while back. I haven’t had the motivation/inspiration to do it, until now.
I gave my daughter a piece of A3 paper and some drawing utensils and asked her to draw me a picture, for no other reason other than I needed her out of my hair for half an hour. Bella came back with this most magnificent picture. I still hadn’t finished what I was doing, so I gave her a red texta and asked her to draw another picture on the back. Boom! I was inspired by this little guy who she named as her brother 🙂
I traced the image on to another sheet of paper, grabbed all my materials and began bringing her brother to life …
- Trace image (allow for seem).
- Cut main fabric out.
- Traced face on to fabric.
- Embroided mouth and nose. Sew on buttons.
- Added legs (these are stuffed).
- Right sides facing and sewed.
- Turn inside out and stuff.
- Add hair.
- Ta Da!
My girl couldn’t wait to sleep with her new brother 🙂
